Preamble
Astra Worldview Compact
Astra exists to help people build a future of greater freedom, opportunity, and abundance. That ambition demands character. The trust we place in one another must be earned through our conduct.
Astra’s biblical foundation shapes our commitment to human dignity, truth, service, and responsible stewardship. People of any or no faith are welcome. Signing this Compact means committing to its ethical standards; it does not require a profession of Christian faith.

I make these commitments:

Help others every day.
I will do something every day to help my community, my fellow builders, or humanity. That help may take the form of useful work, practical service, shared knowledge, or encouragement.

Protect people from exploitation.
I will not take advantage of another person’s distress, inexperience, dependence, or inability to defend their interests. When I encounter exploitation connected to Astra or my work, I will take reasonable steps to stop it or report it to someone who can help.

Lead through service.
Wherever I have responsibility or influence, I will use it to serve. I will lead by example, take responsibility for my decisions, and share credit. I will put the welfare of those who depend on my leadership ahead of my own convenience or personal advantage.

Contribute more than I take.
I will seek to leave this community stronger through my participation. I will share useful knowledge, offer honest feedback, and provide practical help within my capacity. I will respect the time and work of others and care for the resources entrusted to me.

Keep technology in service of people.
I will build and use technology to expand human capability and opportunity. I will respect informed consent and privacy, take foreseeable risks seriously, and support safeguards proportionate to those risks. I will not use promises of safety, convenience, or progress to justify unnecessary control over others.

Use power fairly.
I will promote fair opportunity and assess people and proposals on their merits. I will disclose relevant conflicts of interest and apply ethical standards consistently, including to myself. I will not use wealth, status, or relationships to excuse misconduct.

Disagree with honesty and respect.
I will seek to understand before I criticize, represent others’ views honestly, and challenge ideas and conduct without dehumanizing people. I will defend the freedom to disagree in good faith, including with Astra’s leadership. I will remain open to correction and willing to change my mind when evidence warrants it.

Accept responsibility and accountability.
I will own my mistakes, correct false or misleading claims I make, and take reasonable steps to repair harm I cause. I will respond honestly to concerns about my conduct and cooperate with a fair review. I will not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Place virtue above commerce.
I will not sacrifice truth, human dignity, or ethical responsibility for profit, growth, status, or technological progress. I will describe my work honestly, honor my commitments, and refuse gains that depend on deception or exploitation.

Build a future worth inheriting.
I will pursue meaningful work with courage, wisdom, and self-discipline. I will consider how my decisions affect people today and generations to come, and work to leave the world better than I found it.
Accountability
Our shared accountability
These commitments apply to every member and every leader. Signing this Compact is a condition of membership; upholding it is a condition of continued participation.
Astra will review concerns fairly, based on evidence, with notice to the person involved and a meaningful opportunity to respond. Consequences will be proportionate to the conduct. Where trust can be repaired, Astra will seek a path to restoration. Serious or repeated breaches, or refusal to address misconduct, may lead to restrictions or removal.
When immediate action is needed to prevent harm, Astra may temporarily restrict participation while conducting a prompt review.
